  • CBT for Psychosis: From Confusion to Clarity

    Speaker: Dr. Mike Best
    Date: June 4, 2026
    Time: 12:00-1:30PM (EST)

    Description of webinar:

Psychosis is one of the most serious and persistent mental health conditions. In order to effectively treat individuals experiencing psychosis, clinicians must be able to discuss psychotic symptoms in a normalized and recovery-oriented manner. Cognitive behavioural therapy for psychosis (CBTp), a specific adaptation of cognitive behavioural therapy, is designed to treat symptoms of psychosis and support recovery. This webinar will review current evidence supporting the efficacy of CBTp, introduce the cognitive model of psychosis, and highlight key CBT techniques to maximize the efficacy of CBTp.

    Learning Objectives:

    1) Understand current research evidence for CBTp
    2) Use a cognitive model to understand experiences of psychosis
    3) Use two high impact CBT strategies with clients experiencing psychosis
