General Advertising Conditions

  • All advertisements must be relevant to the practice, education, or advancement of cognitive and behavioural therapy or related mental health professions.
  • All advertising and sponsorship requests are subject to CACBT approval.
  • CACBT reserves the right to approve, decline, edit, or remove any advertisement that does not align with the Association's mission, values, or Advertising Policy.
  • Advertising does not imply endorsement by CACBT.
  • Advertisers are responsible for ensuring they have permission to use all submitted logos, images, and other materials.
  • Payment must be received before publication or distribution unless otherwise specified.

Member Portal Discussion Forum

Share educational, professional, and member-related opportunities.

Purpose

The CACBT Discussion Forums, located in the Member Portal under Workspaces, are intended to facilitate the sharing of educational, professional, and member-related opportunities within the CBT community. Members can customize their notification settings to control when and how they receive notifications.

Discussion Forum topics include: General, Education/Research, Referral Requests, and Student Section.

Process

  • Members: Log in to the CACBT Member Portal and post your content in the corresponding Discussion Forum under Workspaces.
  • Non-Members: Complete the submission form. Once approved, an administrator will post the content on the Discussion Forum on behalf of the non-member.
  • Once approved, posts remain in the workspace indefinitely in the order in which they were posted.

Direct Email Advertisement

Distribute an approved advertisement directly to CACBT Members.

Purpose

CACBT offers organizations, businesses, practices, educational institutions, publishers, and other approved advertisers the opportunity to distribute approved advertisements directly to CACBT Members via email. Direct Email Advertisements are separate from the Member Portal Discussion Forum.

Payment must be received prior to distribution.

Examples

  • An organization promoting a continuing education workshop or training program.
  • A publisher promoting a new CBT-related publication.
  • A company or practice promoting a product or service relevant to mental health professionals.
  • An educational institution promoting professional development opportunities.
  • An organization or company promoting a job opportunity.

Content Guidelines

Advertisers are encouraged to provide:

  • Subject Line: A clear title for the advertisement, maximum 10 words.
  • Advertisement Message: Maximum 300 words.
  • Call-to-Action: One primary call-to-action, such as Register Now, Learn More, or Apply Today.
  • Website Link(s): URL(s) associated with the call-to-action.
  • Contact Information: Name, email address, and/or phone number, if applicable.
  • Organization Logo: High-resolution PNG or JPG.
  • Graphics/Images: Up to four high-quality images relevant to the advertisement and suitable for email distribution.

Image Specifications

  • Maximum of four images.
  • High-resolution PNG or JPG format.
  • Landscape orientation is preferred where possible.
  • Advertisers are responsible for ensuring they have the rights to use all submitted images.

Content Requirements

  • Content must be accurate, professional, and aligned with CACBT's mission and values.
  • Advertisements must not contain misleading, discriminatory, or inappropriate content.
  • Advertisements may still be submitted if they do not conform to the guidelines above, but they require approval by the CACBT Member-at-Large or other delegated representative.
  • CACBT reserves the right to request revisions or decline advertisements that do not meet its advertising guidelines.

Member Update Advertisement

Advertise in CACBT's monthly Member Update.

Purpose

Organizations have the option to place an advertisement in the CACBT Member Update. Member Updates are typically distributed on the third Wednesday of each month.

Content must conform to the CACBT Advertising Policy, including not being in direct competition with CACBT, and must be approved by the CACBT Member-at-Large or other delegated representative.

CACBT Member promoting a workshop which they are personally presenting or facilitating $150 + tax per month
Non-Members $150 + tax per month

The advertisement will include:

  • Placement in a section of the Member Update titled Industry Advertisements.
  • The organization's name and logo.
  • Advertisement Message: Maximum 200 words.
  • Call-to-Action: One primary call-to-action, such as Register Now, Learn More, or Apply Today.
  • Website Link(s): URL(s) associated with the call-to-action.
Submission Deadline: Content must be received by the 1st of the month to be included in that month's Member Update. Content received after the 1st will be considered for the following month's update.

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered as a CACBT Member Benefit, offers should:

  • Align with CACBT's mission, values, and professional standards.
  • Complement, rather than directly compete with, CACBT programs, services, events, or other offerings.
  • Provide a meaningful professional or personal benefit to CACBT Members.
  • Offer clear and exclusive value to CACBT membership.

All proposed Member Benefits are subject to review and approval by CACBT to ensure they are appropriate and relevant to the membership.

  • Listed on the Member Benefits page within the CACBT Member Portal. Inclusion on this page does not guarantee additional promotion.
  • Referenced on the CACBT public website as a Member Benefit available through membership.
  • Promoted periodically through general reminders, such as the Member Update, encouraging Members to explore available benefits.
  • During the first Member Update after the benefit is introduced, the organization will be identified by name to inform Members that there is a new offer.
Approved Member Benefits will not be distributed through a dedicated Direct Email Advertisement unless a separate Direct Email Advertising purchase has been made.

CBT Training Listings

Promote CBT-related training opportunities on the CACBT website.

Purpose

CACBT offers individuals, academic institutions, organizations, and companies the opportunity to promote CBT-related training opportunities on the CACBT website. CBT Training Listings are publicly accessible and may be viewed by Members and Non-Members.

Complimentary listings are available only when the CACBT Member is personally delivering the training. If a CACBT Member submits a listing on behalf of a Non-Member, or an organization where the presenter is not a CACBT Member, the standard fee of $100 + tax per workshop/event applies.

Process

  • Complete the CBT Training Submission Form.
  • Submissions will be reviewed by CACBT.
  • Once approved, the listing will appear on the CACBT CBT Training page for a period of 120 days.

Job Listings

Promote an employment opportunity to CACBT Members.

Purpose

Job Listings provide Members and Non-Members with a monthly opportunity to promote an employment position to CACBT Members.

Each listing is included in the monthly Member Update, which directs Members to the members-only Job Listings page where the full job posting can be viewed.

Listings remain on the Job Listings page for the duration of the purchased listing period.

Sponsorship Opportunities

Non-conference webinar and annual organizational sponsorship.

Purpose

CACBT offers non-conference sponsorship opportunities to organizations seeking visibility and engagement with the CACBT community through webinars and ongoing organizational sponsorship.

Webinar Sponsorship

$450 + tax per webinar

Webinar sponsorship provides organizations with an opportunity to increase their visibility within the CACBT community by supporting educational webinars and having their organization recognized in connection with the webinar.

Sponsorship helps support CACBT's ongoing educational programming while providing sponsors with appropriate recognition before and/or during the webinar.

Sponsorship Benefits

  • Organization name and logo included in the footer of one webinar communication, such as the 5-day reminder email.
  • Organization name and logo included on CACBT webinar welcome slides, including the first and last slides, identified as Sponsored by.
  • Optional 1-minute live presentation or integrated video prior to the webinar, OR a video link and/or content posted to the Webinar Workspace forum.

Guidelines

  • For initial webinars that include a sponsor message, a question will be included in the post-webinar evaluation to assess the appropriateness of the sponsored message, including length and perceived intrusiveness.
  • All sponsorship materials must be submitted at least 2 weeks prior to the webinar date.
  • Sponsor message scripts and/or videos must be approved by the CACBT Member-at-Large or other delegated representative before they are used.

Annual Organizational Sponsor

$1,250 + tax annually

Organizations wishing to provide long-term or ongoing support to CACBT may become a named Organizational Sponsor.

Organizations seeking sponsorship must not conflict with CACBT's mission, values, or professional standards.

Sponsorship does not constitute endorsement by CACBT of the sponsoring organization, its products, or services, and does not provide exclusivity with respect to competitors.

Rather, sponsorship recognizes the organization's support of CACBT and its work. Organizational Sponsors will be identified as sponsors on the CACBT public-facing website.

Sponsorship Benefits

  • Display of the organization's logo on the CACBT homepage under the Organizational Sponsors section, with a hyperlink to the organization's website.
  • One complimentary Direct Email Advertisement, which may be used at any time during the organization's annual sponsorship period.
  • A separate CACBT-prepared sponsorship announcement included in the Member Update at the time of sponsorship initiation or annual renewal, thanking the organization for its support.
  • The sponsorship announcement will include the sponsor's logo and a hyperlink to the organization's website.
