General Advertising Conditions

  • All advertisements must be relevant to the practice, education, or advancement of cognitive and behavioural therapy or related mental health professions.
  • All advertising and sponsorship requests are subject to CACBT approval.
  • CACBT reserves the right to approve, decline, edit, or remove advertisements that do not align with the Association’s mission, values, or Advertising Policy.
  • Advertising does not imply endorsement by CACBT.
  • Advertisers are responsible for ensuring they have permission to use all submitted logos, images, and other materials.
  • Payment must be received before publication or distribution unless otherwise specified.

Advertising Options

Member Portal Discussion Forum

The CACBT Discussion Forums are located in the CACBT Member Portal under Workspaces and are intended to facilitate the sharing of educational, professional, research, and member-related opportunities within the CBT community.

Members can customize their notification settings to control when and how they receive notifications. Discussion Forum topics include General, Education/Research, Referral Requests, and Student Section.

Process
  • Members: Log in to the CACBT Member Portal and post your content in the corresponding Discussion Forum under Workspaces.
  • Non-Members: Complete the advertising submission form for review and approval. Once approved, CACBT administration will post the content on your behalf.

Approved posts will remain in the Workspace indefinitely in the order in which they were posted.

Direct Email Advertisement

CACBT offers organizations, businesses, practices, educational institutions, publishers, and other approved advertisers the opportunity to distribute approved advertisements directly to CACBT Members via email.

Direct Email Advertising is separate from the Member Portal Discussion Forum.

  • An organization promoting a continuing education workshop or training program
  • A publisher promoting a new CBT-related publication
  • A company or practice promoting a product or service relevant to mental health professionals
  • An educational institution promoting professional development opportunities
Content Guidelines
  • Title: A clear title for the advertisement.
  • Subject Line: The subject line that will appear in the email.
  • Body Copy: Maximum of 300 words.
  • Call-to-Action (CTA): Include one primary call-to-action (e.g. Register Now, Learn More, Apply Today).
  • Website Link(s): Include the URL(s) associated with the call-to-action.
  • Contact Information: Name, email address, and/or phone number, if applicable.
  • Organization Logo: High-resolution PNG or JPG file.
  • Graphics/Images: Up to four (4) high-quality images. Images should be relevant to the advertisement and suitable for email distribution.
Image Specifications
  • Maximum of four (4) images
  • High-resolution PNG or JPG format
  • Landscape orientation is preferred where possible
  • Advertisers are responsible for ensuring they have the rights to use all submitted images
Content Requirements
  • Content must be accurate, professional, and aligned with CACBT’s mission and values.
  • Advertisements must not contain misleading, discriminatory, or inappropriate content.
  • Advertisements can still be submitted that do not conform to the above guidelines, but require approval by the CACBT Member-at-Large or other delegated representative.
  • CACBT reserves the right to request revisions or decline advertisements that do not meet its advertising guidelines.

  • Members & Non-Members: Complete the Direct Email Advertising submission form for content review and approval.
  • Payment must be received before the advertisement is distributed.

Member Update Advertisement

Organizations have the option to place an advertisement in the CACBT Member Update. The CACBT Member Updates are typically distributed on the third Wednesday of each month. Content must conform to the CACBT Advertising Policy (e.g. not a direct competition to CACBT) and approval by the CACBT Member-at-Large or other delegated representative.

Member Update Advertisement Fee applies per month.
$150 + tax
Advertisement Includes
  • Placement in an optional section of the update titled “Industry Advertisements”
  • The organization’s name and logo
  • A hyperlink and/or QR code directing members to the advertiser’s website or a designated landing page
  • Maximum 200-word description
  • Call to action (optional)
  • (Optional) sponsors may request specific formatting for their advertisement, at the discretion of the Member-at-Large or other designated member of the association.

  • Submit the advertisement for CACBT review and approval.
  • Payment must be received before publication.

All proposed member benefits are subject to review and approval by CACBT to ensure they are appropriate and relevant to our membership.

Approved Benefits Will Be
  • Listed on the Member Benefits page within the CACBT Member Portal. Inclusion on this page does not guarantee additional promotion.
  • Referenced on the CACBT public website as a member benefit available through membership.
  • Promoted periodically through general reminders (e.g. Member Update) encouraging members to explore available benefits. During the first Member’s Update after the benefit is offered, the organization will be identified by name to inform members that there is a new offer.

Approved benefits will not be distributed through dedicated direct email advertisements unless a separate Direct Email Advertising purchase has been made.

CBT Training Listings

CACBT offers individuals, academic institutions, organizations, and companies the opportunity to promote CBT-related training opportunities on the CBT Training Listings page.

Listings are publicly accessible to both CACBT Members and Non-Members.

Employers seeking to recruit candidates through CACBT have the following advertising options available.

Direct Email Advertisement

Employers may distribute an approved employment advertisement directly to CACBT members via email.

This option is intended for employers seeking direct exposure, such as hospitals, health care organizations, universities, and private organizations/practices.

Members and Non-Members may purchase a monthly job listing opportunity.

This includes a direct URL to the job posting in our monthly Member Update, which is sent directly to all CACBT members. Additional details about the job opportunity will also be included on the Member Benefits page in our Member Portal, where it can be accessed by all members.

CACBT offers non-conference sponsorship opportunities to organizations seeking visibility and engagement with the CACBT community through webinars, member communications, and ongoing organizational sponsorship.

  • Sponsorship logo recognition
  • Optional one-minute live presentation or integrated video prior to the start of the webinar
  • Optional video link and/or approved content to post on the Webinar Workspace Forum
Guidelines
  • Initial webinars with a sponsor message may include a question in the post-event evaluation to assess participants’ perceptions of the sponsored message
  • All information must be submitted at least two weeks in advance of the webinar date
  • Scripts for sponsor messages or included videos must be approved by the CACBT Member-at-Large or other delegated representative

Annual Organizational Sponsorship

Organizations wishing to provide long-term or ongoing support to CACBT may become a named Organizational Sponsor.

Companies must not contradict the Association’s mission, values, or professional standards. Sponsorship reflects an organization’s support of CACBT and does not imply endorsement of products or services by CACBT or exclusivity from competitors.
