CACBT-ACTCC hosted the 8th Annual Conference, which took place at Simon Fraser University-Harbour Centre, Vancouver, British Columbia on May 11-12, 2018. The title of this conference was "Innovations and Advances in CBT".
This conference was a great success! Our program was chock full of exciting and innovative presentations, including 6 workshops, 7 symposia, a panel discussion, two keynote addresses, the Annual General Meeting, a presidential address, and a lively wine & cheese and poster session featuring 50 posters. In addition, a full day pre-conference workshop on ‘CBT for OCD in Children’ by Dr. Martin Franklin was very well attended, as was a special presentation w

This conference was a great success! Our program was chock full of exciting and innovative presentations, including 6 workshops, 7 symposia, a panel discussion, two keynote addresses, the Annual General Meeting, a presidential address, and a lively wine & cheese and poster session featuring 50 posters. In addition, a full day pre-conference workshop on ‘CBT for OCD in Children’ by Dr. Martin Franklin was very well attended, as was a special presentation with Drs. Adam Radomsky and Maureen Whittal interviewing Dr. Stanley (Jack) Rachman on his academic life and times (view video below). We have a great turnout for this conference, with approximately 220 people attending. The pre-conference public panel discussion, “Worries and The Blues on Campus: How to Recognize Anxiety and Depression in University Students” was also well attended and received by stakeholders, CACBT partners, and members of the community.
Some of the speakers included: Dr. Colleen Carney, Dr. Deborah Dobson, Dr. Ingrid Fedoroff, Dr. Keith Dobson, Dr. Mark Lau, and Dr. Candice Murray. Dr. David M. Clark and Dr. Martin Franklin provided keynote addresses.
