World CBT
What is World CBT Day?
World CBT Day is an annual awareness day to ensure individuals learn about the essential role that Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) plays in improving mental health care worldwide. It aims to raise awareness of evidence-based practice, highlight research and clinical work, and promote access to effective psychological treatments. There is no health without mental health; let us work together to work hand in hand to ensure the most vulnerable have access to the support they need.
The theme for World CBT Day 2025-26 is CBT in Action: Mental Health Support in Humanitarian Crises. This theme aligns with the World Health Organization’s (WHO) emphasis on mental health and psychosocial support in humanitarian crises, emergencies and disaster.
On April 7, 2026, CACBT will host a webinar in support of World CBT Day on World Mental Health Day, titled “Cognitive Processing Therapy in Humanitarian Crises: Evidence, Adaptation, and Impact,” presented by Dr. Phil Shnaider. We invite you to join us for this important webinar, and if you know someone who could benefit from attending, please feel free to share this invitation.
